NPC’s center in St. Johns is part of an accredited, multi-campus, state-supported community college with four campuses and six centers serving over 21,000 square miles.
Northland provides courses for completion of degrees and certificates through three educational paths:
Occupational – providing career training in 25 areas
Transfer – preparing students to pursue a four-year bachelor’s degree
Lifelong Learning – enhancing the student knowledge and employment skills or personal interest

Mission is to provide spiritual guidance and physical assistance, including shelter, food and vocational training to people in need, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to help them recognize and deal with their problems in a lifechanging manner.
The regional community action agency is Northern Arizona Council of Government. The organization serves as a source of referrals, support and guidance. They are involved in offering the less fortunate access to several assistance programs, including home repairs, Head Start, Workforce Investment act, and help for seniors. Resources are offered across the counties of Apache, Navajo, Yavapai, and Coconino in Arizona
Auto repairs - If car is needed for work, access repair for work related transportation needs.
Housing - It may be possible for rent and mortgage payment assistance. Move in costs can also be assisted with.
Food - Food, groceries, and get information on nearby pantries.
Clothing - Primarily work related
Arizona Adult Protective Services (APS) is a program within the DES Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) and is responsible for investigating allegations of abuse, exploitation and neglect of vulnerable adults.
The Sexual and Domestic Violence Helpline and Chat provides support, information, and referrals about sexual and domestic violence, assistance navigating the legal system as well as financial assistance.

The Child Care Administration (CCA) provides child care assistance to eligible families who participate in employment activities and specific education and training activities related to employment by providing financial support intended to offset a portion of child care costs. This financial support allows families better access to high-quality, early care and education settings for their children. Child care assistance is also available for children who are involved with the Department of Child Safety due to child abuse or neglect, and families with children experiencing homelessness.
Arizona’s child care and early childhood education system are interconnected across the services and supports provided by community organizations, and state or federally funded programs like DES and the Child Care Administration. Partners include the Department of Health Services, First Things First, the Department of Child Safety, Head Start and Early Head Start, and the Department of Education and local school districts who provide preschool education and before and after school programs for children.
The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Serving the U.S. and Canada, the hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with professional crisis counselors who — through interpreters — provide assistance in over 170 languages. The hotline offers crisis intervention, information, and referrals to thousands of emergency, social service, and support resources. All calls, texts and chats are confidential.
