Respondus testing for NPC students:
Computers with Respondus are available in the tech hubs. Students can check the Tech Hub page for availability and the schedule at their chosen location.
Students should contact the library for other options if the Tech Hub schedule at their preferred library location will not work with their schedule.
In addition to Respondus testing, the NPC Library will help with limited makeup testing when requested by an instructor. Makeup tests are paper tests for a student who missed an in-person exam given in class or when requested to help individual students with testing accommodations. Makeup testing is not for a full class of students due to events like college closures.
- To facilitate the request for makeup testing or testing accommodations, instructors are asked to discuss their testing requests with each library location to make sure they can accommodate the request before sending students to the library. Instructors need to be aware that students may have to agree to take their test at a table in the library, where noise and distractions may occur. Two of our locations do not currently have a dedicated testing space.
- Instructors should fill out the Monitored Test Instructions fillable form (see below). Attach the form and the test to an email and send to: npc.ref@npc.edu. In the body of the email, please list all library locations marked on the Monitored Test Instruction form. The email will be forwarded to those library locations.
- Instructors are encouraged to provide materials to library locations in a timely manner to ensure that library staff will be able to accommodate students and have the test printed and ready for them. Instructors should also encourage students to contact their preferred library location to schedule a time for their test.
