Career Services: Job Boards

Use this guide to find resources for discovering career resources

Local Job Boards

Job Seekers in the White Mountains (Facebook group)

This isn't a job board, but a group on Facebook.  It's a great source to find out about job openings in the Show Low, AZ area.  You can also post the type of employment you are looking for to get tips and leads.  It's an active group.

Apache County Job Openings

Open jobs with Apache County.

White Mountain Independent (Newspaper Job List)

Lists open positions available in the Show Low area

State-wide Job Boards

Arizona Jobs Connection

This is the job board provided Arizona@WORK, which is the Arizona's workforce development agency.  Employers that have open positions in AZ post their job openings.  By creating a profile, you can perform advanced job searches, create & post resumes, save your job searches, and receive job alerts by email or text.  The website has other resources and tools for job-seekers as well.

Arizona State Jobs

All the state government agencies post their job openings on this platform.

Federal Government Job Boards

USA Jobs

Almost all the federal government agencies list their job openings here.  The only way to apply for most jobs with the federal government is through this website, and it is a very specific process with specific requirements.  For more information see the U.S. Forest Service profile and videos for our Virtual Career Fair on the link below.

Academic National Jobs

Academic Job Sources

Everything from faculty at higher education to administrators to library technicians.

Professional Associations

Get an inside track by joining a professional organization.  Professional organizations can be a useful way to network with people in your industry.  Many professional organizations have job boards specific for their industry and may list jobs that might not be widely found elsewhere.

Other

Other Online Job Search Sites

Beware: Not all sites provide accurate information and may contain fake ads.  Proceed with searching and applying for jobs listed on these job boards with a healthy dose of skepticism and caution.  Do not upload resumes with your phone number, address, or other personal information.  It is always a safer practice to apply directly through an employer's website or through professional association job boards.

You will be better served to search government sites or sites specific to your chosen career field.
