Teaching through Hopi songs CD-ROMThese songs focus on simple philosophical Hopi teachings. Here we have a mixture of songs that include planting, the Hopi buffalo dance, premeditation for the summer months and self-evaluation. Hopi oral history teaches us that at the beginning of life in this fourth world, Maasawu’ allowed us to live on HIS land provided that we take care of it for HIM. HE provided us with a bag of seeds, a planting stick and a gourd of water. From that time, Hopi became farmers and stewards of this land and growing foods is our primary purpose.
